California’s Fastest Growing City
Brentwood is California’s “fastest growing city,” according to The Palo Alto-based Center for Continuing Study of the California Economy, and with good reason!  Here, children attend top-notch schools where parents, teachers and the community work together to ensure a healthy educational environment.  The historic downtown is a nice place to sit on a park bench and eat an ice cream cone with your kids on a sunny day, or stroll among the shops, admiring Brentwood, California real estate’s well-designed architectural detail.  You’ll appreciate cosmopolitan offerings like a historical museum, 4 golf courses, a full scale skate park and the annual traditional Cornfest, complete with corn-eating contest, dancing, a cook-off and mariachi band.

Who We Are

History
Until 1835, when the Spanish land grant known as Los Meganos was deeded to Don Noriega, and later purchased by Dr. John Marsh, Native Americans roamed this hilly part of Northern California.  If you had immigrated with the first settlers in 1841, you would have been a farmer, producing grains, fruits, nuts and apricots.  The California Delta was a rich agricultural center in the early years, advancing a tide of settlement that included the incorporation of Contra Costa County in 1850, and Brentwood in 1948.  (…Read More About the History of Brentwood>)
